Jeffrey Harris

Jeffrey Harris has been a vegetarian since 1974 and a vegan since 1996. He studied psychology and philosophy at California State University of Northridge from 1979 through 1982. Jeffrey’s career trajectory in the audio industry began in 1987 at Nadine’s Music in Hollywood, where he specialized in the sales of recording and live sound equipment to local music artists and producers before going on to manage the pro audio department at the company’s second Los Angeles location. He began work as an Account Executive with independent sales organization New West Audio in 1994, overseeing the sales of professional audio brands to retailers, production companies and audio integrators throughout Southern California and in December of 2000 he joined Alesis Studio Electronics, a manufacturer of world-class recording technology where he served as Eastern Regional Sales Manager before being promoted to the position of National Accounts Manager. When Alesis was sold in 2001, he joined the Harman Music Group in Sandy Utah where he managed a team responsible for the sale of digital signal processing technology before eventually rising to the position of Senior Western Regional for the US Division of Harman Professional Products where he led a sales team responsible for over $20 million in annual sales for 11 audio, lighting, and control brands.

In 2010, Jeffrey began developing plans to build a nationwide chain of 100% plant-based fast-food restaurants in order to introduce millions of consumers to the benefits of a plant-based, sustainable, and cruelty-free diet. In 2014 he and co-partners Mitch Wallis and Zach Vouga began working on what would eventually become Plant Power Fast Food, one of the nation’s first 100% plant-based fast-food restaurant chains and the trio opened their first restaurant in San Diego in 2016. Plant Power Fast Food completed 2022 with 11 restaurants, a food truck, a world-class food production facility, top industry hires from Chipotle, Starbucks and Yum brands and over $17 Million in brand-wide net sales. From 2015 through 2022 Jeffrey was successful in raising over $15 million in seed rounds, convertible debt, Regulation CF, and Series A funding for the Company. Although he remains a major shareholder, Jeffrey stepped down from his position as CEO and acting Chairman of the Board of the Plant Power Restaurant Group, LLC in November of 2022 to pursue new opportunities in the rapidly expanding plant-based and sustainability segments.

As the Chief Financial Officer at the Plant Power Restaurant Group in San Diego, Edmund played a pivotal role in shaping the financial trajectory of this innovative, first of a kind plant-based fast-food restaurant chain. Notably, he navigated a number of complexities arising from the Coronavirus health crisis, ensuring the company's fiscal resilience during an extremely challenging period. At the helm of financial operations, Edmund was responsible for financial planning and analysis (FP&A) which included the development of complex financial models, management of Company resources and investor reporting. He co-managed fundraising efforts and investor relations alongside the CEO during which time the Company completed a $7.5M Series A capital raise.

Edmund's expertise extends beyond the culinary world. During his tenure as the Chief Financial Officer at Oomba, Inc., an eSports-focused SaaS startup, he harnessed financial models and secured funding, facilitating the company's growth within the entertainment sector. His accomplishments include structuring innovative financial products, managing relationships with venture partners, and establishing crucial infrastructure.

Across his dynamic career, including roles as a Client Chief Financial Officer at The Garret Group, Controller at URBN Restaurant Group, Senior Finance Director at Paradigm Investment Group, and the opening Director of Finance at the W. Hotel in San Diego, Edmund consistently demonstrated his proficiency in financial management, strategic planning, and fostering growth. His holistic approach to financial leadership, encompassing aspects such as budgeting, financial reporting, investor relations, and compliance, underscores his commitment to sustainable success across various industries.

Elysabeth Alfano

Elysabeth began her career with The Kellogg Company in Brand Management on Special K and Frosted Mini-Wheats before branching out to consulting on brand values, brand strategy and mapping, and communications and marketing strategy. A graduate of Northwestern University and the Thunderbird School of Global Management, Elysabeth also consults and advises C-Suite Executives on the sustainable food industry landscape, direction and whitespaces.

Elysabeth is an expert in investing in food systems transformation and speaks internationally on the intersection of investing, sustainability, and our global food supply system. She recently spoke at the U.N. Global Leaders Compact Summit, the United Nations Climate Change Summit, COP27, Yale University and several Bloomberg Intelligence events among others.

Elysabeth Alfano is the CEO of VegTech™ Invest , the Advisor to the Plant-based Innovation & Climate ETF, EATV and the creator of the non-tracking Plant-based Innovation & Alternative Proteins benchmark index, EATVi.

In addition to his work with the Harris Advisory Collective, Don Robinson serves as the Chairman of the Board of Eat & Beyond Global Holdings, (“Eat Beyond”) Inc., an investment issuer that identifies and makes equity investments in global companies that are developing and commercializing innovative food tech as well as plant-based and alternative food products. He led businesses for Mars Incorporated in Latin America, Asia Pacific, Australia, the United States, culminating with the role of CEO of Mars Canada from 1998 to 2006. Further, Mr. Robinson was CEO of Cara Operations Limited from 2006 to 2013 and a member of the board for 14 years, ultimately serving as the Chairman of the Board. He served as a Strategic Advisor at the Plant Power Restaurant Group from April of 2021 through November of 2022 and worked alongside the CEO, CFO and a key investment bank partner to formulate the kind of robust financial and capitalization strategy required to actualize the company’s short-term and mid-term growth objectives.

Passionate about the plant-based lifestyle and the food industry as a whole, he has participated in leadership positions with major industry trade associations including the Chairman of the Board of the Confectionery Manufacturers of Canada and the Vice Chair of the Food Health and Consumer Products of Canada. He has also been a member of the Queens School of Business Advisory Board and the Advisory Board of the University of Guelph Business school.

Hans embarked on his professional journey by establishing a garment printing company. This venture specialized in developing and manufacturing product lines for notable clients including Patagonia, Esprit, Big Dogs Sportswear, Henry Grethel, and the Smithsonian Institute.

Following the sale of the garment business, Hans transitioned into managerial positions at Brother International and Epson. In these roles, he dedicated himself to product development for environmentally-friendly industrial printing equipment while actively supporting national distribution networks.

Hans expanded his career by moving into successive leadership roles in telehealth with Cytta Corp, SaaS solutions for search engine marketing with Your Answer, big data analytics with HG Insights, and SaaS products for the wellness industry with MINDBODY.

Hans is the Vice President of Strategy and Product Design for SOS Nutrients, delivering organic, plant-based nutritional intervention to optimize human health and he also serves as an advisor to Planet Based Foods.

A passionate advocate for well-being, Hans is an avid skier and maintains a regular workout routine, whether it's running coastal trails in central California or focusing on training in the gym.

Sarah Bishop

Sarah Bishop is the founder and CEO of Coneflower Consulting, a woman-owned consulting firm with a focus on grant writing, fundraising, and strategic planning support for mission-driven organizations, including institutes of higher education, government organizations, and nonprofits. Sarah received her BA from Northwestern University, her PhD from the University of Virginia, and certificates in business administration and marketing strategies from Harvard Business School Online and Cornell’s SC Johnson School of Marketing. She has worked in grant writing for over a decade, and has won grants from federal, state, county, and city agencies as well as private foundations. Sarah enjoys working with clients to write award-winning proposals, develop detailed budgets, braid multiple funding streams, and implement projects that change the world.
